Project 365 Day 100: April 10, 2013

This picture came out cooler than I expected. I took the day off to go to a doctor's appointment and some other errands, and I stopped at Buckland Mall for a bit. I thought the carousel would be an interesting picture for the day - it took some effort to make sure the food court was not too visible in the background! http://flic.kr/p/eakSre

Did I take a picture of this for last year's project? Oh man, now I need to look. Anyway, this is artwork on the Central campus, where I walk sometimes during my lunch break. http://flic.kr/p/earuB9

Last year, I bought my dad a very rusted out pedal plane for Father's Day so he could restore it. He's working on repairing it now, and it's nearing completion. These are the plans for it, which he ordered to see how it should be assembled and labeled (and to know which parts he still needed). You'll see the finished product here soon! http://flic.kr/p/earuiy

Today we celebrated Poppas' birthday with a big family party. He turns 94 tomorrow and is doing great! He does better at 94 than some people who are 15-20 years younger are doing. I chose this picture for today because it really captures him. Some people his age are stuck in bed or in nursing homes, but he is still having fun with the best of 'em. Happy Birthday Poppas! :) http://flic.kr/p/eakPBV

Project 365 Day 96: April 6, 2013

It's getting to be wedding season again, so a lot of "Save the Dates" are coming my way lately. But I was particularly excited to receive a Save the Date from Australia today :) No, I'm not going to Australia, unfortunately, but some good friends from Oxford who live in Australia are getting married in the US this summer. I can't wait, because it means I'll get to reunite with some good friends I haven't seen in a long time :) http://flic.kr/p/ea6qzt

Project 365 Day 95: April 5, 2013

Hello Gorgeous! One of my favorite things in my room. I found it on the side of the road and took it home a few years ago, I kid you not. Everyone should have a mirror that gives compliments. http://flic.kr/p/eac6jS

Project 365 Day 94: April 4, 2013

On a lunchtime jaunt to Panera, I spotted this car with a wooden elephant attached to the top of it. It took me by surprise, so I had to take a picture. It was one of those instances where I knew it had to be the photo of the day, because it was just too weird. http://flic.kr/p/ea6q9H

An excellent use of Easter leftovers: ham and spinach quiche. This was not made by me, but by my mom, who is excellent at making quiches. http://flic.kr/p/e8A6Fu

Every week, the Reminder publishes an article about one of the high school teams. Today, it was about the baseball team, with this exciting headline: "WHS Baseball Team is Scrappy." I had two reactions when I read this: 1.) First, I thought it said, "WHS Baseball Team is Crappy," and 2.) When I realized what it said, I thought, "That's the best they can say about this team?" I know that one of the meanings of "scrappy" is "determined" and "pugnacious," but it also means "consisting of disorganized, untidy, or incomplete parts." I wonder if the writer knew that when s/he wrote the article. http://flic.kr/p/e8A5tw

Even though this necklace breaks a lot, it is one of my favorites because I wore it to the interview of the job I now have. I just thought the beads looked cool in a pile like this, so there you go. http://flic.kr/p/e8A2Yu

Project 365 Day 90: March 31, 2013

Happy Easter! Kelly told me Jack loves stickers, so I put stickers in his Easter basket. He loved them, and proceeded to stick them all over his face. I was finding stickers all over the dining room after this...:) http://flic.kr/p/e8ukxx

I love these roses I got for my birthday. This photo doesn't do them justice! http://flic.kr/p/e8zZzj

Project 365 Day 88: March 29, 2013

Good Friday is always for decorating eggs. Jack decorated this one, but I Bedazzled it with the dancing bunny. http://flic.kr/p/e8zZ19

Project 365 Day 87: March 28, 2013

Back to swimming tonight. For some reason, I think mosaic tiles are awesome. http://flic.kr/p/e8uf6p

Project 365 Day 86: March 27, 2013

I have to admit, it's always fun to look through after my birthday and see who left me Facebook messages. Thanks for all the birthday love, everyone! :) http://flic.kr/p/e8zVaU

Project 365 Day 85: March 26, 2013

Self-explanatory. :) Today is my 33rd birthday. It was pretty low-key, since I had to work today. I was supposed to go swimming tonight, but it was canceled, so I enjoyed a relaxing evening at home. I will have to work off the birthday calories at my next swimming session on Thursday! http://flic.kr/p/e8udmp

Project 365 Day 84: March 25, 2013

My name is no longer an uncommon one (it was when I was little), but the spelling is not that common. As a result, I've always had trouble finding personalized things with my name on them. And because of this, I was so excited to come home tonight and find this awesome birthday gift in the mail from my friend Elizabeth - personalized soaps! How cool is that! She also got me Betty Boop socks. My friends know me too well. :) http://flic.kr/p/e8ucL8

Project 365 Day 83: March 24, 2013

Everyone has to work and I have swimming on Tuesday, my actual birthday, so everyone came tonight to celebrate my birthday. We did make-your-own-pizzas and make-your-own-sundaes. It was fun, because we all got to have exactly what we wanted. :) http://flic.kr/p/e8ubSD
