Project 365 Day 85: March 26, 2013

Self-explanatory. :) Today is my 33rd birthday. It was pretty low-key, since I had to work today. I was supposed to go swimming tonight, but it was canceled, so I enjoyed a relaxing evening at home. Project 365 Day 84: March 25, 2013

My name is no longer an uncommon one (it was when I was little), but the spelling is not that common. As a result, I've always had trouble finding personalized things with my name on them. And because of this, I was so excited to come home tonight and find this awesome birthday gift in the mail from my friend Elizabeth - personalized soaps! How cool is that! Everyone has to work and I have swimming on Tuesday, my actual birthday, so everyone came tonight to celebrate my birthday. We did make-your-own-pizzas and make-your-own-sundaes. It was fun, because we all got to have exactly what we wanted. :) http://flic.kr/p/e8ubSD

Project 365 Day 82: March 23, 2013

As you saw last year, I make a delicious macaroni and cheese. It's not hard to make, but it takes a while to cook, so I often make it a day or so before we actually have it. Today I made it not only so we could have it for dinner on Monday, but also so I could document it on Sharpen. Sharpen is a new app developed by my friend Dan from Oxford. It allows people who do crafty and creative things to teach each other, and encourages people to document the results when they try something they see on the site. (I probably didn't explain that well enough. You just have to see it to figure it out, because it's cool.) My friend Chrissie is much more on top of things than yours truly. She always manages to send my birthday present *before* my birthday, and it's always awesome. Today I came home to this awesome sparkly popup card covered with shoes and handbags, and a great cosmetic bag from L'Occitane that had a cherry blossom print on it!
